PTFE Coated Fiberglass Fabric

PTFE coated fiberglass fabric is made of high-quality glass fiber, woven into high-grade fiberglass cloth substrate by plain, twill, satin or other weaving method, and then fully impregnated and suspended polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) emulsion by unique process technology. PTFE Coated Fabrics offer a desirable combination of PTFE Fluoropolymers with the superior mechanical properties of a woven fabric.

Introduction

PTFE coated fiberglass fabric is made of high-quality glass fiber, woven into high-grade fiberglass cloth substrate by plain, twill, satin or other weaving method, and then fully impregnated and suspended polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) emulsion by unique process technology. PTFE Coated Fabrics offer a desirable combination of PTFE Fluoropolymers with the superior mechanical properties of a woven fabric.

 

Key Characteristics

Non-sticky surface.

Good temperature resistance, continuous working temperature -70-260.

Good corrosion resistance, resistant to various strong acid and alkali corrosion.

Anti-aging, anti-UV.

High insulation performance (small dielectric constant: 2.6, tangent below 0.0025), anti-static, surface resistance up to 1016 ohms.

Non-flammable

 

Applications

Food processing: Due to its anti-adhesion and temperature resistance, it can be used for oven sheets, baking sheets, microwave gaskets and mold release materials.

Conveyor belt: thickness range from 0.06mm-1.2mm. PTFE coated fabric with a thickness of 0.45 mm or more can be used as a conveyor belt, and thinner models can be used as belts for bonding and sealing machine.

Used for connection and wrapping of various chemical pipelines, which can play the role of shock absorption and anti-corrosion.

As protective layer for equipment, such as for desulfurization unit in a power plant.

Because of its good insulation performance, it can be used to make circuit boards.

Used as fire-proof materials: firewalls, fire-proof buildings, etc.
